The Cognizant Center for Future of Work and Future Workplace jointly embarked on a nine-month initiative to determine exactly what the future of HR will look like. The result was the design of more than 60 new HR jobs, including detailed responsibilities and skills needed to succeed in each role. Here are 7 key jobs of the next decade. 

1-Human Bias Manager 

In a world where AI is increasingly relied upon to make decisions, it’s important to have someone responsible for monitoring human bias. The human bias manager would be responsible for ensuring that the data used to train AI models is representative of all groups and that any biases are corrected. This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as an understanding of statistics and probability.

2-Wellness Director

The Director of Wellness will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to improve employee wellness. This includes physical, mental and emotional health, as well as work-life balance. The Wellness Director will need to be a strong leader with excellent communication skills, as they will be working with employees at all levels of the organization. He or she must also have a deep understanding of human behavior and how to create positive change.

3-Virtual reality consultant

With the growing popularity of virtual reality, it’s no surprise that a new HR position has been created to meet this demand. The virtual immersion advisor will be responsible for helping employees adapt to working in a virtual environment. They will need to be able to provide support and guidance to employees who are struggling with the transition. This role will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a thorough understanding of virtual reality technology.

4-HR Data Detective

Are you ready for a new challenge? Over the next decade, HR will need more data detectives to help make sense of all the data being collected. You’ll need to be able to analyze the data and identify trends to help your company make better talent decisions. If you’re up for the challenge, start honing your data analysis skills now. 

5-Human-Machine Team Manager

In the future, machines and humans will need to work together more closely than ever. The human-machine team manager will need to ensure that these teams are productive and efficient. This role will require strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of human and machine behavior.

6-Business Behavior Manager 

Organizations are becoming more complex and, as a result, the skills required of HR professionals are changing. The business behavior manager will be responsible for understanding and predicting how employees behave in different situations. He or she will need to be an expert in organizational psychology and have a deep understanding of human behavior. This role will be critical in helping organizations meet the challenges of the future.

7-Employee Experience Manager

In today’s ever-changing business landscape, it is more important than ever to have a team of employee experience engineers. These professionals will be responsible for designing and managing employee experiences that are engaging, productive and aligned with company values. They will need to be experts in problem solving and have a deep understanding of human behavior and technology. If you want to stay on the cutting edge of the HR world, this is the position for you.
