Key Responsibilities as a Laravel dev at Shyfter

Develop, record and maintain cutting edge PHP applications
Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
Prepare and maintain Shyfter Core code utilizing standard development tools
Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
Assisted by a senior dev, you will be part of the entire web application development life cycle right from the concept stage to delivery and post-launch support
Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as a liaison between development staff and project manager
Keep up-to-date with new trends and best practices in web development

Skills we’re looking for

Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for min 2 year(s)
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar through experience
Familiarity with caching services (e.g., Memcached, Redis) & sockets servers
Fluent in English and a good level of Dutch or French
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 7+ PHP Framework
Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, REST API design
Software testing (PHPUnit, …)
Git has no secrets for you
MySQL profiling and query optimization
Creative and efficient problem solver
Tools like Pusher and Sentry are your best friends
Experience or interest in DevOps / Docker

Key experiences and competencies:

The ideal candidate is eager to learn. S/he will pride him/herself on being ahead of the market. S/he will be passionate about coding with style and performance in mind.

Of course, you get an advantage if you have some DevOps skills.

OUR OFFER:

We offer a full-time contract with an extensive salary package, supplemented by a whole series of fringe benefits such as net expense allowances, meal vouchers, mobility stack, etc.

Based on your skills, your target netto can go up € 2200,-

For this function, we would be glad to work with you in our office in Brussels (M-Village).
